Copyright, submissions, criticism, external links, and mandatory consumer rights.
These terms use American English. They do not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived under U.S., European, United Kingdom, Swiss, Australian, or other applicable law.
Informational literary project
The website presents an unpublished literary and documentary project, public samples, scholarly apparatus, and invitations for criticism, representation, publication, rights, and centennial discussion. Nothing on the public site is an offer to sell rights, grant a license, form an agency relationship, or enter a publishing agreement. Any such arrangement requires a separate signed agreement.
Copyright and permitted use
Text, design, artwork, samples, downloadable documents, and project materials are protected by copyright and other law. Public samples may be read, quoted within lawful fair-use or fair-dealing limits, cited, reviewed, and linked. They may not be republished, trained upon, adapted, distributed, scraped at scale, or used to create a competing edition without written permission, except where law independently permits the use.
Critiques, corrections, and submissions
A submitter retains copyright in original material. By submitting, the person grants only the limited permission selected or reasonably necessary to receive, store, evaluate, answer, and administer the submission. Private editorial use, confidential professional circulation, and public quotation are separate choices. The controller may preserve a necessary record of permission, withdrawal, and prior authorized reliance.
Independent criticism and endorsements
The project does not buy positive criticism, suppress negative criticism, create fake reviews, or present a controller-owned page as an independent review service. A quotation will be attributed and used only within the permission granted. Any payment, gift, employment, family relationship, or other material connection relevant to an endorsement will be disclosed clearly and near the quotation.
Accuracy and historical authority
The site distinguishes historical evidence, legal judgment, documentary reconstruction, interpretive argument, and fiction. Corrections are invited. No statement that a work is complete, principal, authorized, historically grounded, independently reviewed, or seeking publication should be understood more broadly than the page’s stated basis.
No professional advice
Historical, legal, philosophical, tax, political, archival, and literary discussion on this site is not legal, tax, medical, investment, or other professional advice to a visitor. Visitors should obtain advice appropriate to their facts and jurisdiction.
External links and services
External links are provided for context and convenience. The controller does not control third-party content, availability, accessibility, privacy, security, or terms. Firebase, Google Cloud, Spaceship, and other providers operate under their own terms.
Availability and security
The site is provided on an as-available basis. The controller does not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of preview or protected materials, or that every browser will render every feature identically. Nothing limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer guarantees or rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Governing law
To the extent a choice is permitted, these terms are governed by Maine law and applicable United States federal law, without displacing mandatory rights of a person’s country, state, province, or territory. No forum clause requires a consumer to surrender a non-waivable local remedy.
Changes
Material changes will be dated. Continued public browsing after a change does not create consent to optional data processing; privacy choices are governed by the Global Privacy Notice.
